Alessandra Henderson is a digital health entrepreneur, investor and operator on a mission to transform healthcare.

Alessandra co-founded Elektra Health, a virtual care platform closing the post-reproductive care gap for the 50 million women navigating menopause in the US. Under her tenure as CEO, Elektra raised $7M+ from leading investors including University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Flare Partners and Seven Seven Six Fund to bring the business from just an idea to a category defining company that has supported thousands of women across all 50 states with evidence-based menopause care – 84% of Elektra's members report improvement in one or more symptoms within one month. Beyond building a beloved care delivery platform, Alessandra built Elektra’s go-to-market strategy, resulting in the first menopause-focused commercial partnership with a health plan, including Mass General Brigham Health Plan, Emblem Health, and more.

In addition to her operator and advisor work, Alessandra serves on the Milken Women’s Health Council,Springboard Women’s Health Council, Tory Burch Foundation Advisor and is and an active angel investor in leading companies including Aptible, Hey Jane, Poppyseed Health, Hearth, and more.

Alessandra is a frequent speaker and author on the topics of digital health and women’s health innovation. She has spoken at MIT and University of Chicago, contributed to Fast Company and the MIT Business Review, and both Alessandra and Elektra Health has been covered by The NY Times, Fast Company, Bloomberg, Techcrunch, Fortune, Forbes, and beyond.

Prior to Elektra Health, Alessandra spent 10+ years building early-stage consumer businesses on the founding team at Artsy, the MIT NYC Startup Studio, and Human Ventures. She holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from MIT Sloan, where she received the Martin Trust Award and Patrick McGovern Entrepreneurship Award.
